• Flower Mound Hindu Temple inauguration was held in Aug 2009. Sri Shirdi Sai Baba idol installation was held in phase three development of the temple on Aug 22, 2010. Lord Ganesh and Durga Ma idols installation was held in phase one. Lord Siva Linga with Nandi and Lord Balaji idols installation was held in phase two. Lord Kartikeya, Nava Graha and Hanuman Ji idols installation is planned for phase four.
• Sri Shirdi Sai Baba idol is 4.5ft. tall and was installed by the temple priest. The Temple was constructed in 1,600sq.ft. area.
• Flower Mound is a small suburb of about 62,000 people located about 20 miles north of Dallas. It is a fairly new area where a handful of Indians are moving into after buying residential houses. The nearest Hindu temple is about 20 miles away in Irving, TX. There are about 500 Hindu families living in the Flower Mound greater area including Lewisville and Denton. A need for a temple close by has always been in the minds of people in social gatherings like Holi and Deewali. A small group of Indian families got together discussing the idea of a Hindu temple closer to home during Apr 2009, and they are very happy that the “vision” is now came to a “reality”.
